ACEM alumni and friends from across the world gathered in San Diego, US at the beginning of the year of 2020 for ACEM’s first alumni reception overseas. They represented class years dating back as far as 1978, right up to latest students from 2019.The ACEM reception kicked off the weekend evening on Saturday the 4th. The evening consisted of quick-fire updates about ACEM from the Associate Dean of ACEM, Prof. Haitao Yin, and a speech under the topic of Working in Chinese Universities by Prof. Junhui Qian from the Economics Department of ACEM. Enthusiastic conversations were shared between professors and alumni.Another highlight was the ice-breaking game. Alumni participated in a stress-free pop quiz: all about ACEM. Amid laughter and applause, their memories flashed back to the days in ACEM as the quiz went on.
The winner with the highest score was awarded a special gift from the alma mater. Alumni and friends then enjoyed a relaxed evening catching up with long-time friends, extending their network by meeting new alumni, eating, drinking, taking selfies and having fun!
